In celebration of the many cultures that make up Canada, we held a multi-cultural day on March 21. Students came dressed in the costume of a particular region or country, and different classes prepared ethnic dishes for lunch. As an extra treat, the Student Council organized a cake walk for the lunch hour.

The Cakes

Here are a few of the cakes that were created by our talented student bakers ...

... and our personal favourites ...

Barbie Cake
The most creatively designed cake we've seen in a long time! Somebody has some hidden talents! (Or an awful lot of free time on their hands...)

Kitty Litter Cake
Not that our opinion is biased, or anything like that, but our Kitty Litter Cake was a big hit! Only a few people had to leave suddenly to visit the washroom ... the rest thought it was really gross! But it tasted good. The Tootsie Roll 'surprises' were a nice touch! We can't take credit for the recipe, but we can pass it along to you ... see it here and save it, if you have the courage to try it.
