The Grade 5/6 class has been experimenting with various chemical solutions obtained by mixing commonly used ingredients, to see which ones will grow crystals.
Different mixtures were used, and lumps of charcoal were added to the solution for the crystals to grow on.
Preparations, mixing, and some early results are shown in the pictures below. We'll bring you more pictures as the crystals start to grow.
