 Two years ago, when I was in grade 6, a close friend and I decided to help out animals. Our idea was to sell food and other things at an upcoming bake sale. We sold all kinds of cakes and cookies, as well as movies, books and homemade playdough. We also had a donation jar, which was filled with donations from fellow animal lovers. Then we donated all of the money to the nearest SPCA. I believe we made about 118 dollars! Wow! We felt very good the day that we took the money in. We even donated some coupons for dog and cat food. If you would like to do something like this ... go ahead! It's a great idea, and lots of fun. Here are some ideas for things you could sell (make sure your parents are okay with you selling them first!): -do you know how to make playdough? This was a great thing to sell. -old toys, games,movies or books -donation jar -if is cold outside, you could sell hot chocolate. (we also did this, at 25 cents a cup) When you are pricing the items, remember that you shouldn't price things too high, or people won't buy them. An example of a good price could be $1.50 for a plate of cookies, $1.00 for a Barbie or other small toy, etc. Another way to help animals is to stop someone if they are being mean! Tell them about this website! Ask them if they want to be a member of club K4A! Spread the word! Animals have feelings too! This might sound silly but it really is true!
