On June 20 Worsley School held its first ever 'Probability in Math' Fair. Students in grades 4, 5 and 6 designed games and activities under the guidance of their Math teacher Rick Carleton, and demonstrated them to a group of judges made up of staff and Sr. High math students. Each of the games demonstrated the students' knowledge of probability.
The overall winner at the Fair was the team of Layne and Kody; their project was an ingenious marble and mousetrap game they named 'Mouse Contraption', for which they carefully worked out the experimental probabilities of all possible outcomes.
Mr. Carleton would like to thank all the judges who helped with the Fair.
