Blake Berggren is a graduate of Worsley School (the class of 2000) and is now a Master Corporal in the Canadian Infantry. He has recently returned from his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, and was invited by Mrs. Speck to speak about his experiences. He made a presentation to the Social 30/33 class (including the remote classes in Hines Creek and Manning, via videoconference) and other students in grades 8 through 12 here in Worsley. Blake told us about conditions in Afghanistan, through his personal reflections and a slideshow of photographs he took while overseas. He explained what the Canadian military is hoping to accomplish in Afghanistan, and then went on to describe various careers in the Canadian Forces, and what kind of training a person receives.
