This year, our Grade One to Five students participated in the Patti Poplar Reading Program, sponsored by DMI, Peace River Pulp Division. DMI supplied the various prizes for the program in recognition of the number of books each student read.
We had 33 students participating this year. In all, the students read 13,990 books since beginning the program in October! That is quite an accomplishment! The criteria for reading was that books be age/grade appropriate and that students, when asked, could tell something about the book.
We would like to thank DMI, Peace River Pulp Division for sponsoring this very valuable program. Our students are already asking if they can participate again next year.
