The grade 6 and 7 Social Studies class recently completed their dioramas of Canadian fur trading forts. Each group chose a specific fort they would like to make. The students were expected to recreate the forts as accurately as possible. They used any materials they could find, including popsicle sticks, wood, legos, paint and paper. One group even brought in their own furs and traps to put on display. Projects were well thought out and well done, and were put on display for the lower elementary classes.
