The woodworking portion of this course involves two credits for learning about hand tools, safety in the shop, and measurement. Students also completed several small projects, including a picture frame, a shadow box, and a planter/toolbox.

The second portion of the course involves three credits for completing a model house. Students learn proper framing techniques by framing the floor, walls and roof of their houses. Next year we plan to convert the completed models into dollhouses, which we will sell. The conversion will involve all the students' skills in woodworking, sewing, art and even computer technology.
