The woodworking portion of this course involves two credits for learning about hand tools, safety in the shop, and measurement. Students also completed several small projects, including a picture frame or shadow box, and a planter/toolbox.
Students have now begun work on a 1/8 scale house. The plans will produce a small model (about a metre long) that will allow students to learn how to lay floor joists and frame walls and a roof.
