The Great Egg Drop Contest 1998

To design a structure no more than 10 cm long in any dimension, that will protect a raw egg from damage if it is thrown 10 m into the air.

Wednesday November 25, 1998, in the school parking lot.

The Grade 9 Science class.

Under rigidly controlled scientific conditions, the carefully designed and lovingly created structures are launched with precision into the air.

(O.K., maybe not exactly with precision...)

Not all the structures perform according to specifications. However, almost all of them manage to at least contain the mess.

All these students created structures which protected their eggs from damage:
Mark Carrell, Curtis Hayes, Nina Isaak, Alicia Mroch, Ricky Ruecker, Rod Shanks, Tyler Proctor, and Ben Stevenson

Honourable Mentions: (minor cracks only)
Jamie Bala, Christopher Kamieniecki
