On Thursday, October 15, teams from grade 8 through 12 competed in the 'Provincial School Challenge', sponsored by APEGGA (The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta). The object was to build, from only newspaper, masking tape, and string, the longest Pinocchio nose! Length was measured horizontally; Jr High teams had 1 hour, while Sr High teams had to complete their nose in just 30 minutes! |
