Have a look at the Grade 3 and 4 class as they attempt to make models of volcanos. Making volcanos is hard work! First you have to actually make the volcano. This involves a lot of planning, cutting, pasting, and quite a bit of tape. It doesn't really matter if the volcano is tall and skinny, or short and fat. Any type of volcano will do. There are lots of kinds of volcanos! |
Volcanos have to be painted too. Colour is important. Bright colours seem to be popular. But the objective here is obviously total realism. |
Now they're starting to look pretty good! |
The next step is to add some ingredients that will make the volcano erupt magnificently. Remember, we're after total realism here! A little red food colouring added to some vinegar will react nicely with the baking soda! |
Results seem to be even better than anticipated! |

Thanks to Mrs. Golinowski and her grades three and four classes for allowing us to bring you this tectonic extravaganza! Great work!! |
