The Grade 7/8 class has been reading books about times past, when there were knights and castles, ... so naturally, it would be fun to build some real ones ...
First the castle floor plans were drawn, and then were transferred to three dimensions using cardboard and a lot of tape. And quite a bit of imagination ...

Careful planning was necessary, to ensure that the final structure would indeed resemble a castle ... and that all the pieces would actually fit where they were supposed to!
The next step will be to carefully paint the walls.
