Reciprocal Functions

This is an unusual function, as you probably know. Since 1 has to be divided by each X value to get the Y points, there is a problem at x=0.
1 divided by zero does not exist. So the graph is asymptotic at x=0. Y can't be 0 either, for a similar reason.
So what will the absolute value of this graph look like?

Here is the graph of the function:
Notice how the part that was below the X axis is now a perfect mirror image, above that axis.
You could describe the domain and range of this new function like this:
Domain: x R, x > 0 and x < 0
Range: y R, y > 0
