GIF Animations Animated GIFs are just a series of images contained in a single file that play like a video. You can create simple ones or complex ones, depending on how much time you are willing to spend. Here is a short explanation of how to make simple GIF animations. Below are a series of animations made by students and myself over the years. Most students were in Jr High when these were created. When selecting the files for this page I had hundreds to choose from; I picked the best ones, and ones that illustrated all the techniques. Click on each thumbnail to see the animation.
