Palomino

The Palomino horse has a bloodline stretching back thousands of years. It is mentioned in the writings of ancient Greece, and has been a favourite of emperors, kings and queens throughout the centuries. It was a favourite mount of ancient tribes. Palominoes were made famous in Western movies in the mid twentieth century, and are exhibited today at horse shows throughout the world.
The Palomino's colour, with variations from light to dark, is that of a gold coin. The mane and tail are white.
There are three main types of Palomino horses. Western stock horses, noteably Quarter Horses, are one. The Golden American Saddlebred is a second type, and the pleasure type, including the Morgan, Arabian, and Tennessee Walking Horses, is the third.
