Toilet Paper Cannon For this activity, you will need some sort of small container with a sealable push-in lid like a cork (not a screw-on lid). Spice containers work great. You'll also need some baking soda, vinegar, and a square of toilet paper. Preferably unused. Pour a small amount of vinegar into the bottom of your container. Make a small pile of baking soda in the center of the toilet paper square, and fold it up, making sure that none of the powder can escape. Wedge it into the container so it sits near the top. (If your container is too wide for it to stay wedged, use a little tape to hold it in place). Attach the cork securely. When you're done, you'll have something that looks like this: When you're ready to shoot the cannon, give it a shake. Don't point it at anything easily bruised, like your eyes, or someone's face, or your cat. Especially your cat.
