This award is presented to the project that was the best, as determined by the judges. The judges made it clear that all of the four first-place winners had excellent projects, and that the judging took some time to decide on a single winner. This year the 'Best at Fair' award went to Laurie and Katlyne for their project about the eye. The judges were impressed by their depth of research, their obvious understanding of the information they had gathered (which was above their grade level), and by the ingenuity of their display, which included a life-size model of the eye, including attached muscles, and a deer eye which had been dissected to illustrate the parts inside. ![]() ![]() |
