 Shetland ponies are a small breed of horse, even smaller than a regular breed of pony. These ponies only get about 12 - 14 hands high. Shetland ponies usually have really long hair on their mane and tail. Even their fur is really long. Shetland ponies also come in different colours. The one shown above is a bay colour, but they can come in back and white like the one below. You may also see them in other colours, such as grey and different shades of brown. The markings on their bodies also are found in many shapes and sizes, and on various places.  |
