Student Photos
Some Examples

Most student assignments in an introductory course were very specific. A typical assignment might be 'an example of diagonal lines' or 'a person', or 'a corner'. Pictures were usually either taken in B & W, or converted as soon as they were downloaded to the computer. The pictures here reflect the rural nature of our school.

Trampolines can provide good picture opportunities!

We had many pictures of horses. The light patterns here make this an intriguing photo.

A very effective use of a triangular composition, and diagonal line.

This was posed, but produced a very effective photo.

The balls were actually sitting on the court, but the low angle makes it look like they're floating. Great photo!

Unusual angles make great pictures.

Animals were popular, but uncooperative subjects could make things difficult. The photographer here found ideal sujects and captured an amazing image.

Old farm machinery made for good photos of unusual subjects.

Once again, an unusual angle makes a striking photo!

Little sisters make good subjects. Sometimes.

This is actually one of my photos. You can figure out what I did right (probably by accident) yourself.
