Obviously there were exceptions to the 'B & W' rule. Striking colours
make good images if they're composed well. Notice the blurred background.

 
 
We'll let you figure out what good picture techniques were used in the three photos above.


Triangles and diagonal lines, and getting close!

The 'Rule of Thirds' makes photos more interesting than just centering the subject. Notice that the photographer also took the photo from floor level.
 

Such a great photo!


The unusual angle and triangular composition make this
commonplace subject (for our students) really stand out.


Your eyes follow the lines around and around, keeping your focus within the photo. Wonderful image!
 

Flowers need colour!
