 
As things happen, both of my parents eventually died. After my father passed on a few years ago, I was going through his things with my sister and brother when we came upon that old picture of my uncle. It was still in the original frame, just as it had sat on our family piano for so many years while I was growing up.I hadn't seen it in years. I asked my brother and sister if either of them knew anything more about how our uncle had died, but they didn't know any more than I did. I decided that I wanted to find out more about this young man, who had gone to war in his early twenties and died. I wanted to find out what he did in the war, how he died, and where he was buried.
