![]() I began by searching the internet for any reference to my uncle. I came across a Government of Canada site, prepared by the Department of Veterans' Affairs, that kept lists of all persons who had been killed in the various wars that Canada had been involved in. At that site I found the page listing my uncle: ![]() There wasn't a lot of information, but I knew it was him because it listed his parents (who were my grandparents) and the city where they were living at the time. There were also some clues to his armed forces service. I noticed that he was listed as a 'Pilot-Officer', and that he belonged to the 433 Squadron.
