 
I found some sites that described the 433 Squadron, and what they had done during the war. It seemed that they were primarily responsible for running bombing operations over France. However, there was no information about my uncle. On one site, I discovered a bulletin board where WWII veterans or family members could post messages. Most messages seemed to be from people who were looking for friends or loved ones from the war, with whom contact had been lost. I posted a message, giving my uncle's name and squadron number, and the little I knew about him, and asked if anyone knew anything about him. |
