The Quotient Rule
The Quotient Rule can be used when you're dividing powers.
What's left over is the answer.
Have a close look at this worked-out example:



Do you see how the rule works? Just subtract the exponents!

The Quotient Rule says:
"When dividing two powers that have the same base,
you keep the base and subtract the exponents".
