There have been several relatively recent breakthroughs in computer artificial intelligence where creations are becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish from those made by humans. One example of this is video voiceovers, where a video is introduced and narrated by an off-camera voice. Many of these videos, especially on YouTube, are now narrated by an artificial computer voice that is 'reading' a text script. Recently these have become much more sophisticated, with voices that seem completely natural, sometimes even with an accent. While very impressive, they are not yet perfect. The nuances of text-to-speech conversions mean that the computer will still stumble occasionally in the pronunciation of some words, such that an astute listener can recognize that it isn't a real person reading the script.
