ax2 + bx = 0


example 1:
4x2 - 8x = 0   With just two terms, this is solved by factoring
4x(x - 2) = 0
Either:
4x = 0
x = 0
or:
(x - 2) = 0
x = 2

x = 0 or x = 2



example 2:
6x2 = -12x
6x2 + 12x = 0    
rearrange so it equals zero
6x(x + 2) = 0    factor
either   6x = 0   »   x = 0
or (x + 2) = 0   »   x = -2

x = 0 or x = -2
